The Golden Five Acres Gala 

While Five Acres was founded in 1888, this year marks 100 years at our historical Altadena campus. More than a century ago, visionary supporters made it possible to purchase five acres of land and commissioned renowned architect Myron Hunt to design a child-centered campus, opened in 1926 and still at the heart of our work today.Together, we also honor 138 years of caring for children across Los Angeles County, made possible by partners like you, helping ensure safety, well-being, and permanency for every child.

A Night to Remember

On June 6, 2026, Five Acres celebrated its annual fundraiser, The Golden Five Acres Gala, at a private Pasadena club. The memorable evening brought together friends, supporters, and community leaders for a celebration of Five Acres’ 138-year legacy and the children and families we serve.

Guests enjoyed an inspiring evening filled with connection, entertainment, and generosity all in support of creating brighter futures for children and families across Southern California.
