LOS ANGELES DODGERS

The L.A. Dodgers are a US professional baseball team that plays in Major League Baseball. They are in the National League West division. The team’s manager is David Ray Robert and Guggenheim Baseball Management owns the franchise. Founded as the Brooklyn Atlantics in 1883 in Brooklyn, New York, the later named Dodgers moved to California in 1958. Their home field is Dodger stadium located in Chavez Ravine. After joining the National League in 1890 the team name nickname was the Bridegrooms or the Robins. In time, the they later became Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1930’s.

The team has won Six World Series in the following years 1955, 1959, 1963,1965, 1981, 1988. They have also won 21 National league pennants. The team has had great players in the past like Jackie Robinson, and Roy Campanella. Current players include 2016 Rookie of the Year Corey Seager, Adrián González, and Yasiel Puig. Since the late 19th century, the Los Angeles Dodgers has had a fierce baseball rivalry with the San Francisco Giants.

LOS ANGELES RAMS

The Los Angeles Rams American football team play in the National Football Conference. They are in the West division with Head Coach Sean McVay and General Manager Les Snead. Currently, the team plays their home games in Los Angeles Metropolitan area at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Homer Marshman established the football team in 1936. The Head Coach was Damon Wetzel, who was a player too. They joined the NFL in February 1937 and have won two NFL championships in the years of 1945, 1951 and a Super Bowl championship 1999. In the three years have won championships, the Rams represented three different cities, including Cleveland, Los Angeles, and St Louis. Furthermore, the Reams are the only team to win all their championships while representing different cities. Key players on the team are Todd Gurley, Aaron Donald, Tavon Austin, Robert Quinn James Laurinaitis, Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS

The L.A. Lakers are a professional basketball team from the National Basketball Association in the Western Conference’s Pacific Division. Luke Walton as the Head Coach. The Lakers’ home court is at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. The team’s estimated value is 2.7 billion dollars. The team began as the Minneapolis Lakers after being purchased as a disbanded team. The Detroit Gems in 1947 and was officially founded in 1948.

They have won a total of 16 championships in the years:

1949, 1950, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1972, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, and 2010.

They have appeared in the playoffs 60 times and played in 69 seasons. Some greatest basketball players of all time including Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Magic Johnson, James Worthy and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar represented the Los Angeles Lakers. Most noteworthy, the team won three consecutive titles from 2000 to 2002. Their last title was also in their last NBA Finals appearance in 2010. Th Lakers hold the longest record winning streak in the NBA of 33 consecutive games.

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS

The Los Angeles Clippers were established in 1970. They play in the NBA’s Western conference in the Pacific division. The team shares their home court, the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, with the Los Angeles Lakers. Doc Rivers is the head coach.

The franchise was initially founded as the Buffalo Braves in New York state. The team relocated to San Diego in 1978 and became the San Diego Clippers. In 1984, the franchise moved to Los Angeles where they became L.A. Clippers.

The L.A. Clippers franchise has not won an NBA championship. They did win their first division title in 2013. They have had nine appearances in the NBA playoffs and became Pacific Division Champions for the second time in 2014.

The Clippers have a solid rivalry with LA. Lakers and has great NBA players like Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and De Andre Jordan
